The History of the Model A News
The Model A Restorers Club started way back in 1952. it was started by a man named William Hall. Almost imediately a flyer was printed and sent out to the membership. It was called the MARC news. William Hall was the first editor of the MARC News up to May of 1962. Dave Jenkins took the helm in June of 1962 and carried it for ward until March of 1963.
George De Angelis became the new editor in March of 1963 and stayed at the task until January of 1983. George changed the name to the Model A News and stayed to the task for many years.
In March of 1983 Ken Keeley of Chicago took over the job and put his touches on this wonderful magazine. He carried on until March of 2006 when he passed the baton to Helen Ehrenhofer who holds the position today. These magazines are filled with information regarding our beloved Model A Fords. They are valued by collectors because they contain years of technical articles written mainly by club members and Judging Standards Committee members. These experts have spent many hours researching and developing information on how to restore your Model A Ford correctly. The magazine also provides info on regional activities so members can see exactly how much fun it is to be amember of MARC.
